Abstract

This article examines ecosystems of sustainable scholarly publishing through the lens of open science principles. The study analyses how community engagement, technological innovation, and administrative structures influence the sustainability of publishing practices. Particular attention is given to the role of open-source platforms in shaping the future of scholarly communication. Using qualitative analysis and three case studies, the research shows that technological development enhances community autonomy but also requires new skills and collaborative frameworks. The article proposes a model in which technology, community, and institutions form a mutually supportive structure. This approach emphasizes ongoing dialogue among stakeholders and provides practical recommendations for advancing sustainable open publishing.
